Preventive healthcare in India are still in the early stage and it has huge burden and strain because of Indian population growing at exponential rate. Health care sector in India is majorly responsibility of the central, state and local government. The center government is responsible for providing health services in the union territories without a legislature. Also, it has to take some important decisions regarding to defining and developing nation standards, monitoring application of rules and regulations, coordinating with state governments, linking of them with funding agency, bringing sponsors. Etc.




The health care in India includes public and private hospitals as well as specialized clinics. One of he biggest healthcare challenge faced by PM Narendra Modi and his team today includes reducing burden on healthcare system. “Preventive healthcare is important. The consciousness and facilities that are required for that can be improved”: PM. Also,
"Tele-medicine enables expert opinion even for people living far away. We need to integrate this and give good facilities to people," PM Modi said. Health care has emerged as one of the largest service sectors in India providing preventive healthcare packages and further developing faster. But, these are some facts about Indian healthcare industry total expenditure on health is 5.2 % of GDP.

The need for preventive healthcare versus curative healthcare is partly attributed to the changes in the corporate environment and lifestyle in India. In recent times with greater globalization and urbanization, corporate world has been growing rapidly there is a greater amount of stress in companies leading to adverse lifestyle choices and work related stress. Hence, regular monitoring of health by routine tests is necessary which can be done with the help of the diagnostic centre which is also a part of health care system.
